About Anchorpoint

Our Story
Anchor Point was born out of lived experience.
In 2021, shortly after becoming a first-time mother, I lost my mom to COVID-19. At the time, my daughter was only four months old. I was navigating new motherhood, overwhelming grief, and the deep emotional and physical exhaustion that so many new parents experience.
What followed was one of the most difficult seasons of my life.
As I struggled with postpartum depression and the loss of my mother, I turned to alcohol as a way to cope—something I had seen many members of my own family do throughout the years. What began as an attempt to manage unbearable pain quickly became unsustainable.
There were resources available. People encouraged me to seek help, attend appointments, and utilize support services. But when you’re simply trying to survive each day, even making a phone call can feel impossible. Too many people judged me or told me to just make better choices.
I couldn’t maintain sobriety long enough to consistently schedule appointments. The emotional and physical exhaustion was overwhelming. the cycle continued. I wanted help, but I often didn’t have the capacity to navigate the systems designed to provide it.
Because of that, it took me much longer than it should have to find my footing.
What ultimately helped me begin healing was not judgment, pressure, or a list of resources. It was being met with grace, love, compassion, and unwavering support—especially from my husband, Matthew, who stood beside me through every setback and every small victory.
Through that support, I was able to find stability, rebuild my life, and eventually experience the joy, peace, and health that once felt impossible to reach.
Today, by the grace of God, I am committed to helping others do the same.

Why Anchor Point Exists
Anchor Point was created for the people who know they need help but don’t know where to begin.
It’s for the person who has been told to “just call,” “just apply,” or “just make an appointment” when those tasks feel overwhelming or impossible.
It’s for individuals and families facing crisis, grief, instability, mental health challenges, recovery, housing insecurity, or major life transitions.
We believe that most people don’t need more information—they need someone to walk alongside them as they take the next step.

The Stillhouse Initiative is like a safe place to regain your bearings. Slowly, Quietly, Without judgement. There can be peace

Our Mission
Anchor Point exists to bridge the gap between crisis and stability by helping individuals and families navigate resources, access support, and move forward with clarity and compassion.
We believe healing and stability become possible when people are met not only with resources, but with grace, dignity, and genuine support.
No one should have to navigate life’s hardest seasons alone.
And no one should have to manage both their crisis and the systems meant to help them at the same time.
Welcome to Anchor Point. We’re glad you’re here. :purple_heart:
